It May Be Possible That Certain SAPs May Be FTL!

Phys.org reports that in a new paper  accepted  by the journal Astroparticle Physics, written by Robert Ehrlich, a recently retired physicist from George Mason University, claims that the neutrino is very likely a tachyon or faster-than-light particle.

Ehrlich's new claim is based on a much more sensitive method of finding their mass, instead of trying to directly measure the speed directly.

Of course this relies on tachyons even having an imaginary mass, or as in this case - negative mass squared. But this is where things get really weird.  A particle with imaginary mass - does something weird as they lose energy – they speed up! And even weirder, their imaginary mass is defined by the rate at which this occurs. According to Ehrlich, the magnitude of the neutrino's imaginary mass is 0.33 electronvolts, or 2/3 of a millionth that of an electron.

You should really take a look at the short article in Slash Dot HERE
